What is more forceful Metoprolol or Toprol-XL?

I have be taking Metoprolol 50MG twice a day for years very soon. So far this was the medication that other somehow worked for me. Now my family doctor advise taking Toprol-XL 100MG once a day. But my insurance wasn't covering it. Now through Prescripton For Assistance Program I finally get Toprol-XL

I was a short time ago wondering , is Toprol-XL 100 mg going to be enough for the intact day extent and is it more effective than Metoprolol.
Would appreciate any suggestions contained by this matter.

They're basically indistinguishable thing. Toprol-XL is extended release where on earth as Metoprolol isn't. So, when you take 100mg of Toprol-XL your body slowly let the medication be released throughout the day. When you run Meotoprolol, you're taking 50mg at one time that are released quickly, and next getting another 50mg later within the day that are released at the double as well. you entail to ask your doctor why were the reason he/she put you on the 100 mg. Don't be scare to ask the doctor query because sometimes they make mistake too. As you said the 50mg works for you for a long time I don't see why he/she rework it to 100mg unless you reported to him/her that your status had rework during your visit.
