What is the difference between predisone and prednisolone?
Prednisone is activated by the liver into prednisolone. For this object and because it is more easily held, prednisolone is the drug of choice when hepatic disease or insufficiency is present.
nardin_hanna is right. However for most patients in clinical practice in attendance is essentially no difference. Prednisone is used more often surrounded by the US and prednisolone more often contained by Europe.
